ABOUT US

St. John's Episcopal Church is a congregation of the Episcopal Church and the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Michigan.  St. John's serves northern Oakland and southern Lapeer counties.  We have a strong spirit of welcome and we invite you to                                                               visit any time!

OUR VISION

We are committed to:

Worshiping God, Belonging, & Reaching Out.

WHAT WE DO

We worship God drawing  language primarily (but not exclusively) from The Book of Common Prayer.   Our hymns come  from The Hymnal 1982 as well as Lift Every Voice and Sing

OUR COMMUNITY

Named for the poet John Dryden, The Village of Dryden was settled in 1836 and incorporated in 1887.  Dryden is a quintessential American small town where--to quote the township motto--"friendliness is served country style."

FIND YOUR FAITH

In these uncertain times, faith can be a very comforting presence in one's life.  We invite you to explore your own spirituality with the people of St. John's.  Find comfort in our worship space, inspiration in our services, and the joy that comes from walking with Jesus in the community of our loving congregation.

ABOUT US

At St. John's, we welcome all people who seek the love of God, without discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnic background, socioeconomic status, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender, or age. We welcome all people on the basis of our Baptismal Covenant in which we promise to “seek and serve Christ in all persons,” and “respect the dignity of every human being.”
